| Monroe is a state line border community of about 11, 000 people located in southwestern Wisconsin, and is the seat of Green County. Our primary industries are agriculture, small manufacturing, mail order sales and healthcare. Monroe is home to Minhas Craft Brewery, the second oldest brewery site in the nation. The Monroe Police Department provides full service to our community. We have a community policing and partnership philosophy. Our mission statement identifies our dedication to working with the community to enhance the quality of life.
